Guest Artist Judy Miranda
When I see something that speaks to me, there is a need to photograph, paint or sometimes carve it. We are surrounded by unrevealed visual gifts. When it comes down to it, it’s about the discovery of unexpected things and overlooked places that finally reveal themselves. When you understand that, you get me.
I believe we are at our best when we are responding to an inner hunch to create. In art work there’re many different creative skills involved. I have always been more sensitive to the beauty of the world than to violence and monsters. There are different ways of seeing.Through my art I attempt to reclaim the indigenous and cosmic identity. We cannot forget who we are as people and how diversity makes us a stronger community and nation.
